As part of our evolving grantmaking strategy, in 2025, the Amplify Her® Foundation will not hold an open call for letters of inquiry. Instead, we will be proactively seeking out and engaging with programs and organizations that align closely with our mission and priorities. This approach will allow us to more strategically identify partners whose work has the potential to create lasting impact, while fostering deeper, more focused collaborations.

If you would like to share information about your organization, please feel free to send a brief overview to Laura Risimini, Amplify Her® Foundation Director of Grants at laura@amplifyherfoundation.org. Organizations are strongly encouraged to review the Foundation’s funding priorities and eligibility criteria prior to submission.

FUNDING PRIORITIES

Amplify Her Foundation is dedicated to supporting women and girls from underserved communities to become transformative changemakers. To advance this mission, we seek dynamic partnerships with nonprofit organizations that align with our values and impact-driven approach.

We are specifically interested in collaborations with organizations and programs with the following characteristics:

MISSION ALIGNMENT

Our grantee partners share a deep commitment to the leadership development of women and girls from underserved communities in New York City. Their missions and programs clearly align with the core focus areas of the Amplify Her Foundation, including:

GROWTH

Leadership and/or professional development; career advancement; entrepreneurship and/or business development support; educational enrichment; and programs that support personal growth, confidence, resiliency, and the self-efficacy of women and girls.

TRAINING

Capacity building and technical training for women to excel in fields in which women are underrepresented; hard and soft skills-building; and specialized job training programs tailored to specific industries or leadership roles.

NETWORKS

Initiatives that enhance social capital through networking opportunities, peer-to-peer mentorship, and platforms connecting women and girls with professionals, experts, and peers in their fields of interest.

COMMUNITY

Programs that provide culturally-appropriate, supportive, and affirming environments - outside of home, work and/or school - for connection, support, and leadership development.

WOMEN-LED

As an organization that lifts up the importance of women’s leadership, we invest in organizations that model and reflect that same commitment. We believe that women and girls have the direct experience and knowledge to best lead their communities toward an equitable future. Therefore, preference is given to organizations and/or programs that are women and/or girl-led, in which 50% or more of senior leadership and decision-making roles within the organization are occupied by women and/or girls.

DIVERSE & COMMUNITY-CENTERED LEADERSHIP

Our grantee partners operate with a deep understanding of the communities they serve. They prioritize collaboration with local stakeholders, and most importantly, with women and girls themselves, to ensure that programs are relevant, culturally responsive, and sustainable.

Organizations and/or programs:

  • Reflect the identities, values and experiences of women and girls by incorporating cultural knowledge and practices into program design, delivery, and evaluation.

  • Ensure that leadership is reflective of the lived experiences of the women and girls they serve.

  • Develop hyper-localized solutions tailored to specific neighborhoods, schools, and/or other demographic groups.

HIGH-QUALITY, GENDER-SPECIFIC PROGRAMMING

Our grantee partners offer consistently high-quality, gender-specific leadership development programming designed to meet the unique needs that women and/or girls face on their leadership journeys. Programs are often:

  • Cohort-based & intensive to foster deep learning, collaboration, and peer support, enabling participants to build lasting professional networks.

  • High-touch, in-person and experiential, with hands-on practice and access to real-life professional development and networking opportunities.

  • Designed for long-term engagement with dedicated alumni support to offer ongoing support, mentorship, and opportunities for collaboration beyond the program’s formal conclusion.

COLLABORATIVE & RELATIONSHIP-DRIVEN

Gender equity is too great of a challenge for any one organization to tackle alone. Our grantees recognize the power of collective action, and therefore, prioritize shared learning, deep collaboration and relationship-building to amplify their impact and drive meaningful change.

Our grantee partners:

  • Engage with aligned networks and other intersectional social movements.

  • Regularly collaborate to share resources, best practices, and build each other’s capacities, contributing to a more resilient gender equity movement in New York City.

PROVEN TRACK RECORD

We look for organizations with a proven track record of success. Our grantee partners have demonstrated the ability to implement effective programs that have resulted in measurable positive outcomes for women and girls. This includes:

  • Demonstrated impact, with consistent reporting and measurable results.

  • Sound financial management and ethical governance practices.

  • The capacity to scale or replicate successful initiatives in other communities.
