ADVOCACY
At this pivotal moment, the need to safeguard gender equity is more urgent than ever before. Addressing the resource deficits faced by organizations dedicated to women and girls demands a unified, strategic effort —one that brings together funders, nonprofits, and policymakers. In response, Amplify Her® Foundation is expanding our reach, enhancing our advocacy efforts, and forging powerful partnerships with stakeholders across New York City to drive change and create lasting support for women and girls.
Amplify Her® Foundation is:
Launching a Unified Policy Platform, to reflect our mission, core values, and changemaking model
Hosting an Advocacy Day in March 2025 to provide unique training and connection opportunities for our grantee partners and broader network
Elevating engagement with current and new partners working on advocacy issues that are linked to the Unified Policy Platform
Unified Policy Platform
To ensure Amplify Her® Foundation’s advocacy efforts reflect the perspectives of our stakeholders, our twenty inaugural grantee partners participated in focus groups and a comprehensive survey in spring 2024, sharing their community knowledge to identify the most significant barriers for women and girls on their leadership journeys. This research was conducted by Outlier Strategies, a consultancy firm founded and led by two women who served in the New York State Senate and New York State Assembly.
The findings were used to shape Amplify Her® Foundation’s Unified Policy Platform, which guides our community-driven advocacy strategy. The goal of the platform is to provide an actionable roadmap for how public policy can unlock leadership potential for women and girls from underserved communities. The complete platform, to be released in 2025, will serve as an accessible tool to inform and expand grantee partners’ advocacy efforts.
In alignment with the platform’s goal to galvanize systemic change for women and girls’ leadership, the areas of the platform include: education and career readiness, economic mobility, workplace equality and support for working caregivers. Each of these areas includes specific policy actions for that purpose:
EDUCATION AND CAREER READINESS

ECONOMIC MOBILITY
